About this opportunity

As interim manager, you will be P&L responsible for the cluster of companies in Belgium. These are two companies with several separate legal entities spread across a number of locations in Belgium. Through acquisitions in recent years, these companies are now part of the same international group. The two companies today have very different cultures, corporate on the one hand and family business/Belgian SME on the other. Until now the Belgian cluster was part of the Benelux organization, to get more focus on the Belgian activities it was decided to make this a separate organization with its own MD.


Your role as an interim manager is to eventually merge these various industries and activities and make this one entity. The broad outlines are outlined high level, as interim manager you will analyze all companies and entities to then present a plan of action to the Benelux management and then implement it. Initial focus is on the backend, more specifically on systems, operations and facilities. The goal is to increase efficiency and realize savings, with an eye for customer experience and a heart for the human side of change management.


You will be responsible for managing the integration and consolidation but also for ensuring that the individuality and strengths of both companies are safeguarded, and that the change happens in a respectful manner.

It is expected that this change trajectory will be completed by 31/12/2024 and that the predetermined KPIs (higher EBITDA, increase % of revenue from sales of services, higher cash conversion ratio) will then be achieved.

Our client is a large international group with a cluster of companies in Belgium. The company offers technical solutions and services tailored to their customers, mainly corporate (B2B) and institutional customers. We will be happy to give you more information at a later stage.

Who are you:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent (academic) thinking level;
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in a B2B technical installation and/or technical services environment, at least 5 years of which should be in a management role;
  • Knowledge of business management in the Belgian context (tax, socio-legal, etc.)
  • Thorough background in change management;
  • Interim management status;
  • Excellent communication in Dutch and English, very good level of (spoken) French.
