About the role

As Senior Manager Programme Performance & Operations you make sure that all programmes are coherent and impactful, and have professional rigour in their planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation. You are responsible for the annual schedule of activities, resource planning, impact assessment, knowledge sharing, high quality technical reports for partners and donors, effective delivery of key operations and supervision of contracts with service providers and experts. You are a key member of the senior management team and will be leading a team of 4-5 project managers.

This is an important role that reflects the strategic ambition and expected growth of the Africa-Europe Foundation.

About the company

The Africa-Europe Foundation (AEF) is a consortium entity founded by a leading European think tank, Friends of Europe, and a leading African Foundation, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, in partnership with the African Climate Foundation and the ONE Campaign, and with a multitude of stakeholders from civil society, business, policymaking and the youth sector across Africa and Europe. This High-Level Group of Personalities  provides political and strategic orientations for the Africa-Europe Foundation.

The purpose of the Africa-Europe Foundation is to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue, catalyse partnerships and unlock new opportunities that can transform Africa-Europe relations into action.

Requirements

You have a proven global project and/or programme management track record. You can lead project teams, draft compelling and impactful reports and you have a basic understanding of finance & administration.

And last but not least, you are a strong communicator and people manager with a pragmatic and hands-on approach. A true project manager with organisational skills and rigour that can lead and coordinate multiple projects, manage different stakeholders, create buy-in and make things happen.
